For this video work I asked homeless people on Downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row, what kind of movie they would make if they had all the means they wanted and complete artistic freedom. The interviews were conducted in the library of the Midnight Mission, one of numerous missions downtown, with the assistance of one of the mission's case managers. The streets downtown are used as a filming location by the movie industry on a daily basis. By interviewing people on site, I wanted to add marginal stories to Hollywood's fictions—by homeless authors, who can claim street credibility when telling their real or imagined stories. For the exhibition context I selected 10 out of about 30 conducted interviews. Each story is presented on its own monitor.
